We start at the Depot Royal<\/strong> where, by means of a scale-model, we get to know the enormous site, its history and functions over the course of time. We also get an insight into new developments: which projects have already been realised and what is still in the pipeline?<\/p>

Then we take a look at the H\u00f4tel des Douanes<\/strong>. This building from 1905, which is soon to be restored, was built in eclectic style. It was designed by architect Ernest Van Humbeek together with engineer Jules Zone and contains many authentic elements.<\/p>

Next we visit the Maison de la Poste<\/strong>. At the beginning of the 20th century, the building served as an administrative centre of Tour & Taxis and later as a post office. After the recent restoration, it is now a beautiful place where events can be organised.<\/p>

And finally, we discover the newly restored monumental and breathtaking Gare Maritime<\/strong>: a city in the city where it never rains. The gigantic halls are 175 metres deep and rest on slender cast-iron pillars with Art Nouveau elements. The station, built between 1902 and 1908, was at the time the largest goods station in Europe. Architect Jan De Moffarts (JDMA) renovated this building together with Bureau Bouwtechniek and Neutelings Riedijk Architects, known for the MAS in Antwerp, added new elements that fit in wonderfully.<\/p>
